Feurich pianos

Pianists are not always rational people and it is not unusual for them to write nicely about one piano manufacturer, to tell their students to buy other but to keep their own personal choice to themselves! Not many people will recognise the Feurich name but for those committed musicians who do it speaks of traditional German standards and a rich history dating back to 1851.

Today, the factory in Gunzenhausen near Nuremberg is more compact than the huge original Leipzig factory which had boasted its own concert hall; the output now is something less than a hundred instruments a year. These pianos are built by hand and with enormous attention to detail, this is refinement to be appreciated by those who care and understand. One must not assume however that Julius Feurich (of the fourth generation) is not open to new innovations. Most pianos are fitted with the German Renner action, some however have the latest Wessell, Nickel & Gross composite fibre action (for highest demands and durability).

The upright pianos are made in three sizes 118cm, 123cm and 131cm and these are in black or various wood finished when available. We have the first size on display; this is in black ebony with Renner action and mute pedal, about £11,000.

Feurich Hand Built

Feurich grand pianos are made in lengths of 172cm, 197cm and 227cm although most are made to order. We have the first size in a magnificent pommele mahogany hand built in Germany (see picture above) with the Wessell, Nickel & Gross action and beautiful matching stool, about £37,500.

A new range of Feurich instruments is now available for which production has been outsourced, these pianos are very competitively priced. We have the new baby grand 161cm piano and a 115cm upright in stock.

Send us an email now and we will respond by the next working day with confirmation of availability, fully inclusive costs and expected delivery time. All the above prices include VAT at 20%.
